Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our night shift team in Burbank, CA. This full-time position offers high hourly rates and a consistent schedule, allowing for excellent work-life balance and financial stability. As a Night Shift LPN, you will play a crucial role in delivering direct patient care, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the highest standards of care are met throughout the night. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients during night hours, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, accurately documenting all actions.
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, promptly reporting any changes to the Charge Nurse or physician.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including observations, treatments, and responses.
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention as appropriate.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate first aid or life support as needed.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Required Skills
- Current active LPN license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing nursing procedures.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as an LPN in a clinical setting.
- Experience working night shifts in a hospital or long-term care facility.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
