Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Norfolk Field Hands. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about agriculture and eager for ongoing work within a dynamic farming environment near Colchester, Essex. You will be an integral part of our agricultural operations, performing a variety of tasks essential to crop production and farm maintenance. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual tasks such as planting, weeding, harvesting, and sorting crops.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment under supervision.
  • Assist with irrigation, crop protection, and other field management activities.
  • Carry out general farm maintenance, including fence repair, tidying, and minor repairs.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, following instructions from supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and crop conditions as required.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and stamina for demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently when required.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Basic understanding of farm safety principles.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an agricultural or outdoor labour role.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with hand tools.
  • A valid UK driving licence, preferably with trailer towing (B+E).
  • Certification in relevant agricultural machinery operation (e.g., forklift, tractor).
  • Knowledge of local agricultural practices or specific crop types.
