Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and meticulous PVC Skirting Board Gluer to join our dedicated team in Woking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the precise installation of PVC skirting boards, ensuring a clean, modern, and high-quality finish on all projects. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, a steady hand, and a commitment to achieving flawless results. You will work within diverse project environments, contributing to the aesthetic and functional completion of our interior fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for the application of PVC skirting boards, ensuring they are clean, dry, and level.
  • Measure and cut PVC skirting boards accurately to fit various room dimensions and angles.
  • Apply adhesives precisely and consistently to secure skirting boards firmly in place.
  • Ensure all joints are seamless and corners are perfectly mitered for a professional finish.
  • Inspect finished work to guarantee adherence to quality standards and client specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely.
  • Collaborate effectively with other trades and project managers to meet deadlines and project goals.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in the installation of skirting boards, preferably PVC or similar materials.
  • Excellent precision and attention to detail in cutting, measuring, and applying.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to the trade (e.g., miter saws, adhesive guns).
  • Strong understanding of different adhesive types and their correct application.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant NVQ or equivalent qualification in carpentry, joinery, or interior fit-out.
  • Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
  • Familiarity with various construction site environments and safety protocols.
  • Experience with other aspects of interior finishing.
