Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Online Member Service Representative to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote, work-from-home position where you will be the first point of contact for our valued members, providing exceptional service and support through various digital channels. You will assist members with their banking needs, answer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless and positive experience from the comfort of your home office. While this role is remote, you will be supporting members primarily in the Escondido and greater San Diego County area.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding member service via phone, email, and chat, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently and courteously.
- Assist members with account information, transactions, loan applications, and other financial services.
- Educate members on credit union products and services that best meet their needs.
- Perform routine account maintenance and data entry with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate departments for resolution.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to all credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with team members in a virtual environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, CRM software, and communication tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- High degree of empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of financial products and services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a credit union or banking environment.
- Experience with remote work tools and collaborative software.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
