Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Online Netflix Specialist – Technical Documentation to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving comprehensive technical documentation for various internal tools, platforms, and processes related to our engagement with Netflix’s online ecosystem. This position requires a blend of technical understanding, exceptional writing skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all documentation is accurate, clear, and easily accessible to a diverse audience, including engineers, product managers, and support teams. You will play a critical role in standardizing our knowledge base and facilitating seamless operations within our projects related to Netflix.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, process flows, and troubleshooting guides related to Netflix's online systems.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, product managers, and support teams to gather information and ensure accuracy of content.
- Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect new features, changes, and improvements in our Netflix-related platforms and processes.
- Organize and manage documentation within a content management system (CMS) to ensure easy navigability and searchability.
- Implement and enforce technical documentation standards, style guides, and best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews of documentation for clarity, completeness, technical accuracy, and adherence to company standards.
- Simplify complex technical concepts and present them in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner for various technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in technical writing, preferably within the software, IT, or media streaming industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (US English).
- Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Zendesk Guide, GitBook).
- Strong understanding of technical concepts related to online platforms, content delivery networks, or streaming services.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience working with or understanding of Netflix's platform architecture or similar large-scale streaming environments.
- Basic understanding of JSON, XML, or other data interchange formats.
- Certification in technical communication or related areas.
