Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Online Research Assistant to join our remote team. This role is specifically focused on gathering insights and conducting research pertaining to 18-year-old teens. You will be instrumental in supporting our research projects by collecting, organizing, and summarizing data from various online sources. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to studies that inform brand strategies, product development, and public policy affecting young adults. The position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the chance to work from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough online research using various search engines, social media platforms, forums, and academic databases to gather relevant information about 18-year-old teens.
- Collect and organize data from surveys, polls, and focus group transcripts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Summarize research findings and present them in clear, concise reports or presentations.
- Assist in the development and refinement of research questionnaires and discussion guides.
- Verify the accuracy and reliability of information sources.
- Maintain organized digital files and databases of research materials.
- Collaborate effectively with research managers and team members, providing regular updates on progress.
- Adhere to strict data privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in conducting online research and data gathering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with social media platforms and online communities.
- A genuine interest in youth culture, trends, and the experiences of young adults.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some prior experience in a research, data entry, or administrative support role.
- Familiarity with basic market research methodologies or qualitative/quantitative data analysis.
- Experience with survey tools or data visualization software.
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Marketing, Sociology, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
