Job Description
We are seeking a creative and dedicated Online Social Media Manager with a keen understanding of teenage culture and trends, specifically targeting the 16-year-old demographic. This role is crucial for developing and executing engaging social media strategies that resonate with young audiences, driving brand loyalty and community engagement. You will be responsible for crafting compelling content, monitoring trends, interacting with our youth community, and analyzing performance to optimize our social media presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies specifically tailored for 16-year-old teens across various platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube Shorts).
- Create, curate, and manage engaging content, including video, images, and text, that aligns with Nike's brand voice and resonates with the target demographic.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and opportunities to engage with the teen audience.
- Actively engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a vibrant online community.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and content teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and campaign integration.
- Analyze social media data and metrics to track performance, identify insights, and optimize future strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and platform updates.
- Identify and collaborate with relevant teen influencers and content creators.
- Manage social media campaigns from conception to execution and reporting.
Required Skills
- Proven experience managing social media platforms with a focus on youth demographics (ages 13-18).
- Deep understanding of current social media trends, platforms, and analytics.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a native understanding of youth language and internet culture.
- Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software).
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Creative mindset with an eye for compelling visuals and storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in social media management, brand marketing, or digital content creation.
