Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tally Clerk to join our FedEx Logistics team in Boston. This vital role is centered on accurate data entry and meticulous record-keeping, with a strong emphasis on database management and zero phone call responsibilities. You will be responsible for verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all items are accurately counted and recorded into our logistics systems. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining precise inventory records within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately count, verify, and document incoming and outgoing freight and packages.
  • Perform data entry of shipment details into internal logistics databases with high precision.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies between physical counts and manifest documents.
  • Maintain organized and accessible records of all processed shipments and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and operational procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to perform accurate data entry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with database systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and stack packages weighing up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory management role.

  • Experience operating pallet jacks or similar warehouse equipment (certification a plus).
