Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Palletizer Operator, playing a critical role in our state-of-the-art automated production facility in Thornton, CO. In this position, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and basic maintenance of automated palletizing equipment, ensuring the smooth flow of products from the production line to warehousing. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and a proactive approach to supporting automation systems to minimize downtime and maximize output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated palletizing machinery, including setup, start-up, and shutdown procedures.
  • Perform routine quality checks on finished pallets, ensuring correct product count, stacking patterns, and secure wrapping.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance technicians.
  • Load and unload materials from palletizer, ensuring accurate inventory and material handling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and food safety standards (HACCP/GMP).
  • Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure seamless product transfer and efficient operations.
  • Document equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Assist in the training of new operators on palletizer safety and operational procedures.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience operating manufacturing or warehouse machinery, preferably automated equipment.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and machine interface.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Forklift certification or experience operating powered industrial trucks.
  • Previous experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of PLC controls and automation principles.
