Job Description
Capital Kidsitters Agency is seeking a reliable, experienced, and compassionate Part-time Babysitter for weekend night work in the Georgetown area. This role is perfect for someone looking to earn extra income while making a meaningful impact on families’ lives. As a ‘Trusted Local’ caregiver, you will be responsible for providing attentive and engaging childcare, ensuring a safe and fun environment for children of various ages. We are looking for individuals who can commit to regular weekend evening shifts and build strong, positive relationships with the families they serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, attentive, and engaging care for children during weekend evening hours.
- Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, games, and creative play.
- Prepare simple meals and snacks as instructed by parents.
- Assist with bedtime routines, including baths, stories, and getting children settled for the night.
- Maintain a clean and tidy play area after use.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with parents regarding children's well-being and activities.
- Handle minor first aid situations and respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
- Adhere to all household rules and routines provided by parents.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable childcare experience with references.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically with infants and toddlers.
- Formal education or certifications in Early Childhood Education or related fields.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- A portfolio of positive testimonials from previous families.
