Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Part-time Night Auditor with a strong weekend and finance focus to join our team at Hampton Inn & Suites New Port Richey. This pivotal role ensures the smooth operation of the front desk during the overnight hours, primarily on weekends, and is responsible for reconciling daily financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be a night owl with excellent customer service skills, a knack for numbers, and the ability to work independently to maintain guest satisfaction and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all nightly audit procedures, including reconciling daily cash, credit card, and room charges, and generating daily reports for management.
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately during the overnight shift.
- Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Maintain security of the premises and guest information throughout the night.
- Prepare breakfast area for the morning shift and assist with light administrative tasks.
- Respond to phone calls and emails, providing information and making reservations.
- Complete end-of-day procedures, including reviewing and verifying all reports and postings.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front desk and lobby area.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic mathematical and accounting aptitude.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work weekend overnight shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Night Auditor or in a front desk role within the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Hospitality, Accounting, or a related field is a plus.
