Job Description
Baker Donelson is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-time Student Receptionist to join our professional team in Downtown Memphis. This is an excellent opportunity for a current student looking to gain practical experience in a fast-paced legal environment. You will be the first point of contact for our firm, providing essential administrative support and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, possess strong communication skills, and are eager to learn about the operations of a prominent law firm. The position requires a commitment to professionalism, discretion, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Answer and direct incoming calls efficiently, taking messages as needed.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area and common spaces.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and meeting room reservations.
- Provide administrative support to various departments, including copying, scanning, and data entry.
- Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Assist with office supply management and inventory.
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
