PCL Construction is seeking enthusiastic and responsible teens to join our team as Site Cleaners in New Port Richey, Florida. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to learn about construction site operations, safety protocols, and general site maintenance, with a strong focus on adhering to all safety guidelines. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment for all project personnel, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a dynamic industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general clean-up duties on construction sites, including debris removal, sweeping, and waste disposal.
- Assist in organizing and storing materials, tools, and equipment efficiently and safely.
- Adhere strictly to all site-specific safety regulations and company policies.
- Support tradespeople and supervisors with various tasks as needed, demonstrating a willingness to learn.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in designated areas, including lunchrooms and restrooms.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or issues to the site supervisor promptly.
Required Skills
- Must be 17 years of age.
- Ability to complete and pass site-specific safety training (e.g., OSHA 10-hour Construction if required by site).
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
