Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pharmaceutical Chemist to join our innovative High-End Biotech team in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex chemical synthesis and purification of novel pharmaceutical compounds.
- Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, and NMR.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced laboratory instrumentation.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, documenting findings in detailed reports and presentations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with biologists, pharmacologists, and formulators to advance drug development programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards (GLP/GMP), and regulatory guidelines.
- Contribute to patent applications, scientific publications, and internal reports.
- Stay current with scientific literature and industry trends to propose innovative research directions.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Proven experience in chemical synthesis and purification techniques.
- Proficiency in various analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, and NMR.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Thorough understanding of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry setting.
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP regulations and quality control systems.
- Knowledge of drug discovery and development processes.
