Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pharmaceutical Chemist to join our innovative High-End Biotech team in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex chemical synthesis and purification of novel pharmaceutical compounds.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, and NMR.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced laboratory instrumentation.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, documenting findings in detailed reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with biologists, pharmacologists, and formulators to advance drug development programs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards (GLP/GMP), and regulatory guidelines.
  • Contribute to patent applications, scientific publications, and internal reports.
  • Stay current with scientific literature and industry trends to propose innovative research directions.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Proven experience in chemical synthesis and purification techniques.
  • Proficiency in various analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, and NMR.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Thorough understanding of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry setting.
  • Familiarity with GMP/GLP regulations and quality control systems.
  • Knowledge of drug discovery and development processes.
  • Experience with LIMS or other data management systems.
