Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Fountain Square, Indianapolis. In this vital role, you will support our pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance claims, and resolving customer inquiries.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Operate pharmacy systems and equipment, including point-of-sale systems and automated dispensing machines.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and willingness to learn pharmacy-specific software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., RxConnect, Cerner)
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, French)
