Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process customer transactions, manage cash register operations, and handle prescription pickups.
- Maintain organized medication inventory, including stocking shelves and monitoring expiration dates.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient questions, and resolving issues with empathy and professionalism.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and company policies regarding pharmacy practices and patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, data entry, and filing.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Commitment to learning and successfully obtaining Pharmacy Technician licensure within a specified timeframe (with company support).
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service role.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures meticulously.
