Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our team in Cambridge, MA. This role will focus specifically on regulatory compliance for our EA Games portfolio, ensuring all products and operations adhere to relevant laws, industry standards, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, particularly those impacting the video game and digital entertainment sectors, and thrive in a stable, structured environment dedicated to proactive compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret new and existing regulatory requirements relevant to the gaming industry, including data privacy, consumer protection, content moderation, and intellectual property.
  • Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits of EA Games products, services, and operational processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with legal, product development, marketing, and other internal teams to integrate compliance best practices into game development lifecycles and business operations.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions and preventative measures.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on compliance status, risks, and mitigation strategies for management.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in regulatory compliance within the digital entertainment space.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a regulatory compliance role, preferably within the technology, media, or entertainment industry.
  • Strong understanding of global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and consumer protection laws.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to business operations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex compliance concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in compliance management software and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Professional compliance certification (e.g., CCEP, CIPP/E, CIPP/US).
  • Experience with international regulatory bodies and cross-border compliance initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the video game development process and digital content distribution.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and investigations.
