Job Description
Are you a motivated student looking for an exciting opportunity to work behind the scenes at major festivals and concerts? Live Nation Entertainment is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Student Setup Crew in Rockville, Maryland. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in event production, logistics, and operations. You will be instrumental in the physical setup and breakdown of stages, sound equipment, lighting, vendor areas, and general site infrastructure for some of the biggest events in the region. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. No prior experience is required; we will provide all necessary training. This is a temporary, part-time position with flexible hours designed to accommodate student schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of event equipment, including staging, sound, and lighting gear.
- Participate in the physical setup and breakdown of event infrastructure such as tents, fencing, signage, and vendor booths.
- Follow precise instructions from event managers and crew leads to ensure accurate and timely execution of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the event site.
- Support various operational needs as directed, which may include general labor tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve event objectives.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Punctuality and ability to commit to scheduled shifts.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in a college or university program.
- Previous experience in a physical labor role or event support (e.g., landscaping, construction, warehouse).
- Familiarity with event production or entertainment industry.
- Availability for weekend and evening shifts during peak event season.
