Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pinterest Documentation Clerk with an Engineering focus to join our team in Pearland, Texas. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in supporting our engineering department by maintaining, organizing, and updating critical technical documentation. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong ability to understand technical concepts, and excellent communication skills to ensure our engineering teams have access to accurate and up-to-date resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, categorize, and maintain an extensive library of engineering documentation, including design specifications, API documentation, and technical manuals.
- Review technical documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established formatting guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to gather information, clarify details, and ensure documentation reflects current processes and product features.
- Assist in the creation of new documentation templates and improve existing documentation workflows.
- Manage version control for all assigned documents, ensuring that the latest iterations are readily accessible.
- Support engineers in locating specific technical information and resources quickly.
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies in documentation and proactively work to resolve them.
- Assist with data entry and management within various documentation systems and tools.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in documentation management systems (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Jira)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to comprehend technical concepts and terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycles or engineering processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Science, Technical Communication, Computer Science)
- Experience working in a technology or engineering environment
- Familiarity with visual collaboration tools and platforms like Pinterest
- Experience with Markdown or other light-weight markup languages
