Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Plastic Surgery Nurse to join our esteemed private boutique clinic in Boulder, CO. This role is integral to our patient care team, supporting our board-certified plastic surgeons in delivering pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for aesthetic medicine and patient well-being. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and comfortable patient experience, from initial consultation through recovery, in a high-end, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist plastic surgeons during in-office procedures and minor surgeries, ensuring sterile technique and patient comfort.
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative education and post-operative care instructions to patients and their families.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available and sterilized.
- Administer medications, including IV therapy, and perform wound care as directed by the physician.
- Conduct patient consultations, assessments, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on various plastic surgery procedures, non-surgical treatments, and skincare regimens.
- Manage patient scheduling and coordinate with other healthcare providers as necessary.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide support with professionalism and empathy.
Required Skills
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in plastic surgery, dermatology, or a related aesthetic field
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and aseptic practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-end private practice environment
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience with cosmetic injectables (Botox, fillers) and laser treatments
- Previous experience in a private clinic or boutique medical setting
