Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Podcast Audio Producer to join our dynamic team. This is a remote-first opportunity, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States, with a preference for candidates in the Pacific Time Zone. You will be responsible for the end-to-end audio production of various podcast series, ensuring high-quality sound, compelling storytelling, and timely delivery. This role is crucial in bringing our narratives to life and enhancing the listener experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and edit high-quality audio content for multiple podcast series, from raw recordings to final master.
- Perform sound design, mixing, and mastering to achieve consistent audio quality and impactful storytelling.
- Collaborate closely with hosts, content creators, and editorial teams to understand project vision and deliver on objectives.
- Manage post-production workflows, including file organization, version control, and archiving.
- Implement feedback effectively and iterate on audio edits as required.
- Stay current with podcasting trends, audio production techniques, and industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot audio issues and provide technical support during recordings when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or Logic Pro X.
- Strong understanding of audio recording, editing, mixing, and mastering principles.
- Demonstrated experience in podcast production, including sound design and narrative editing.
- Excellent ear for detail and a passion for high-quality audio.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Portfolio or samples of previous podcast audio work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience with remote recording setups and technologies.
- Familiarity with various podcast hosting platforms and RSS feed management.
- Knowledge of music licensing and sound effects libraries.
- Experience working in a fast-paced media or digital content environment.
