Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Private Lab Specimen Porter to join our team at a busy High Street location in Coventry. This essential role involves the secure and efficient transport of medical specimens from collection points to our laboratory facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring specimens are handled with the utmost care and in strict accordance with health and safety protocols, contributing to the timely processing of vital diagnostic tests. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are organised, have strong attention to detail, and are looking for a stable full-time position with weekly pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and securely transport medical specimens between designated collection points and laboratory facilities.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including biohazard handling and cold chain maintenance protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of specimen movements and delivery times.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork accompanies specimens and is correctly completed.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and collection point personnel.
- Report any issues or discrepancies concerning specimen integrity or transport immediately.
- Assist with the replenishment of collection supplies as needed.
