Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Production Operative to join our manufacturing team in Croydon. This is an ongoing full-time position, working Monday to Friday, offering a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of our production line. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production machinery, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to a safe working environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent role for individuals looking to start or advance their career in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
- Load and unload materials and products from the production line.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy.
- Physical fitness, as the role may involve standing for long periods and some lifting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus, but not essential.
- Understanding of health and safety guidelines in a factory setting.
- Forklift license or experience with similar machinery (training can be provided).
