Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Game Logic Tester with a specific focus on puzzle and RPG game mechanics. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the quality, functionality, and immersive experience of our upcoming titles. You will delve deep into game systems, identify potential issues, and provide comprehensive feedback to our development teams, all from the comfort of your home office. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute detailed test plans to verify game logic, mechanics, and systems within puzzle and RPG titles.
  • Identify, reproduce, and accurately document software defects, glitches, and inconsistencies.
  • Utilize bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) to report issues and track their resolution status.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers, developers, and producers to understand game requirements and provide actionable feedback.
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure that implemented changes do not introduce new issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Provide insightful feedback on game balance, difficulty, and overall player experience for puzzle and RPG genres.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or game testing, with a focus on game logic.
  • Proven understanding of puzzle game mechanics and RPG systems (e.g., combat, leveling, inventory).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex systems and identify potential failure points.
  • Excellent written communication skills for clear and concise bug reporting.
  • Proficiency with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Confluence).
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • A passion for video games, especially puzzle and RPG genres.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Game Design).
