Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Professional Sedan Aide to provide safe and reliable transportation for students within the Rancho Cucamonga Unified School District. This role is ideal for individuals looking for part-time work during school hours, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students’ daily lives. The Sedan Aide will be responsible for ensuring students arrive at their destinations safely and on time, while maintaining a supportive and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from designated locations using a district-provided sedan.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district transportation policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle environment.
- Assist students with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, guardians, and school staff.
- Monitor student behavior during transport and report any issues or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Required Skills
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C or higher)
- Clean driving record (DMV printout required)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and compassion when working with children
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality
- Ability to navigate using maps or GPS devices
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience transporting children or working in a school setting
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Knowledge of Rancho Cucamonga and surrounding areas
- Experience with special needs transportation
