Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel. This is an immediate start, full-time position offering weekly pay. As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all patients, visitors, and vendors upon arrival.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Provide accurate information in-person and via phone/email, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or individual.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain organized calendars for various departments.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail, deliveries, and faxes.
- Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area, ensuring it reflects our high standards of care.
- Support office security by monitoring visitor access and issuing badges when necessary.
- Order and maintain inventory of front office supplies, ensuring availability.
- Assist with various administrative and clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, photocopying, and scanning.
- Handle patient registration and check-in processes efficiently and accurately.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially English/Spanish).
