Job Description
Join Saint Luke’s Health System as a Rehabilitation Aide (HHA) with a focus on Physical Therapy. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of our rehabilitation team, providing essential support to licensed physical therapists and ensuring a positive and effective recovery journey for our patients. You will play a crucial role in preparing treatment areas, assisting patients with therapeutic exercises, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for physical therapy sessions.
- Assist patients with safe transfers, mobility, and therapeutic exercises under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the physical therapy department, including sanitizing equipment.
- Transport patients to and from the therapy gym or treatment areas.
- Monitor patient comfort and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and report needs to the appropriate staff.
- Provide a supportive and encouraging environment for patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients safely
- Proficiency in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion for patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical therapy clinic or rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- BLS/CPR certification
