Job Description
Join Shutterstock as a Remote AI Image Curator and become a vital part of our content innovation team. In this 100% remote role, you will play a crucial part in training and refining our AI models by curating, creating, and meticulously tagging visual content. Your expertise will directly influence the accuracy, relevance, and diversity of our AI-generated and AI-enhanced image recommendations, ensuring our customers always find the perfect visuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Curate and select high-quality images and visual assets for AI model training datasets.
- Apply accurate and detailed metadata tagging to a wide range of visual content, including objects, scenes, emotions, and concepts.
- Identify and correct inaccuracies in existing AI-generated tags or descriptions.
- Provide constructive feedback on AI model performance and suggest improvements for tagging accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with AI engineers and content specialists to develop and refine tagging guidelines and best practices.
- Stay informed about visual trends, AI advancements, and industry standards to enhance curation quality.
- Maintain strict adherence to data privacy and content quality standards.
Required Skills
- Strong visual literacy and an eye for detail.
- Proficiency in image analysis and content categorization.
- Excellent understanding of metadata and tagging principles.
- Familiarity with digital asset management systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with online tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in content moderation, curation, or data labeling.
- Basic knowledge of AI/Machine Learning concepts, especially in computer vision.
- Experience with image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) is a plus.
- Degree or background in Art History, Photography, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Shutterstock's content library and contributor guidelines.
