Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Remote Blog Formatting Aide to join our dynamic content team. This 100% remote position is perfect for someone with a keen eye for aesthetics, a strong understanding of web content best practices, and a passion for digital storytelling. You will be responsible for transforming raw article drafts into visually appealing, SEO-friendly, and perfectly formatted blog posts ready for publication across BuzzFeed’s various platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Format blog posts in our Content Management System (CMS), ensuring consistent branding, style, and readability.
- Optimize images for web performance and visual appeal, including cropping, resizing, and adding alt text.
- Implement basic SEO best practices, such as proper heading structure, internal linking, and meta descriptions.
- Collaborate with writers and editors to ensure all content elements are present and correctly integrated.
- Proofread content for formatting errors, broken links, and minor grammatical inconsistencies.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to company style guides and brand standards for all published content.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, or similar platforms)
- Strong understanding of basic HTML and CSS for web formatting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Solid command of the English language, including grammar and spelling
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
- Basic image editing skills (e.g., cropping, resizing in tools like Canva or Photoshop Express)

- Previous experience in a digital media, publishing, or blogging role
