Job Description
We are seeking talented and passionate Remote Digital Illustrators and Artists to join our global network on a commission-based, work-from-home model. This is an exciting opportunity for creative individuals to showcase their unique artistic vision and contribute to a vast library of digital assets that inspire and inform millions worldwide. You will have the flexibility to work on projects that align with your artistic strengths, contributing high-quality digital illustrations and artwork for various themes and commercial uses. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and create high-quality digital illustrations and artworks across diverse styles and themes.
- Produce original vector art, raster illustrations, and other digital graphics suitable for commercial licensing.
- Ensure all submitted work adheres to Shutterstock's technical specifications, quality standards, and content guidelines.
- Manage your workflow to consistently deliver new, marketable content on a commission basis.
- Stay updated on current design trends, software, and artistic techniques to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate asynchronously with the content review team to ensure prompt approval and publication of your work.
- Maintain a robust and diverse portfolio of work available for licensing through the Shutterstock platform.
Required Skills
- Exceptional proficiency in digital illustration software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, or equivalent.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of digital illustration styles and techniques.
- Solid understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote, self-motivated environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience creating artwork suitable for commercial use and licensing.
- Knowledge of various file formats and resolution requirements for digital media.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal education in fine arts, graphic design, illustration, or a related field.
- Experience creating niche-specific illustrations (e.g., editorial, conceptual, technical, children's books).
- Familiarity with trends in stock content and commercial illustration market demands.
- Ability to adapt to various artistic styles and client briefs.
- Prior experience working in a commission-based creative role.
