Job Description
Join Target as a Junior Retail Merchandiser and play a vital role in ensuring our store shelves are beautifully stocked and visually appealing. This entry-level position is perfect for someone passionate about retail, eager to learn, and comfortable traveling to multiple Target store locations within the Saint Paul area. You will be instrumental in executing merchandising strategies, setting up displays, and maintaining product presentation standards to enhance the guest shopping experience and drive sales. Key Responsibilities
- Execute merchandising directives and planograms to ensure accurate product placement and presentation.
- Travel regularly to assigned Target stores within the Saint Paul metropolitan area.
- Set up promotional displays, signage, and seasonal product arrangements.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with store teams to ensure products are readily available.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
- Provide feedback on merchandising effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with product resets, remodels, and new store openings as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety and compliance standards.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to travel reliably to multiple local store locations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of retail merchandising principles (or a strong desire to learn).
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail environment, especially in merchandising or visual display.
- Experience with planograms or visual merchandising software.
- A passion for current retail trends and consumer products.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
