Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Transport goods efficiently and on schedule to various destinations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of driving activities.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, prioritizing personal and public safety.
  • Handle freight with care, ensuring secure loading and unloading practices.
  • Represent Knight-Swift Transportation professionally at all times.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one through our sponsored training program.
  • Clean driving record (or ability to meet company insurability standards, exceptions considered under 'Open Door' policy).
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
