Job Description

BrightStar Care of New Port Richey is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Senior Care Support Workers. This is an incredible opportunity for motivated candidates with no prior experience in caregiving. You will provide essential support, companionship, and personal care to our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with light household tasks, meal preparation, and feeding.
- Safely assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Remind clients to take medications and assist with self-administration as needed.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities, conversation, and outings.
- Monitor and report any changes in client condition or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized client environment.
- Document care provided accurately and timely according to company policies.
Required Skills
- Strong empathy and compassion for seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and perform light household duties.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of our comprehensive paid training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous volunteer experience in a care-related setting.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation.
- CPR and First Aid certification (can be obtained after hiring).
