Job Description
Are you a student looking for a dynamic and engaging summer internship? Ipsos is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Secret Shopping Interns for a paid summer placement. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market research, consumer behavior, and quality assurance. You will be responsible for anonymously evaluating customer service, product quality, and store environments at various businesses. This internship is designed to provide practical experience, mentorship, and a solid foundation in data collection and analysis, crucial skills for a career in marketing, business, or market research.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct anonymous visits to assigned retail stores, restaurants, or service providers.
- Observe and evaluate specific aspects of customer service, store cleanliness, product availability, and employee interactions according to provided guidelines.
- Accurately document observations and experiences using designated reporting tools and platforms.
- Complete and submit detailed and objective reports within specified deadlines.
- Adhere to all guidelines and ethical standards of secret shopping, maintaining anonymity and professionalism.
- Participate in debriefing sessions and provide constructive feedback on assignments.
- Collaborate with the Market Research team to understand project objectives and contribute to data insights.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (all majors considered)
- Excellent observational skills and keen attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently
- Basic proficiency with mobile applications and digital reporting tools
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally within the Temecula area
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service or retail environments
- Coursework in Marketing, Business Administration, Sociology, or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct
- Experience with data entry or report generation
