Job Description
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Logistics Associate in Kailua-Kona, HI. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise from our distribution centers to our warehouse floors, impacting customer satisfaction directly. You will be involved in various aspects of supply chain operations, including inventory management, shipping, and receiving. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately process incoming merchandise and materials.
- Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including packing, labeling, and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently (training provided if needed).
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with inventory discrepancy resolution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external vendors.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for data entry and tracking.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or retail environment.
- Forklift certification or experience operating similar equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Enrollment or interest in supply chain, business, or related educational programs.
