Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Santa Clarita distribution center as an Entry Level Shipping Dock Runner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in logistics and warehousing with immediate start availability. As a Shipping Dock Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products on and off our docks. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidates who are eager to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, trailers, and containers following safety protocols.
- Transport goods and materials using manual pallet jacks or other non-motorized equipment across the dock area.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests and packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe work environment on the shipping dock.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and truck drivers.
- Support the proper staging and organization of products for shipment or storage.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including those related to material handling and dock operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
