Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Snubbing Assistant to join our specialized pressure control team in Temecula. This role is critical in supporting snubbing operations, ensuring safe and efficient well intervention under live well conditions. The successful candidate will play a vital role in rig-up, operation, and rig-down of snubbing units, focusing heavily on maintaining pressure integrity and adhering to stringent safety protocols. This is a physically demanding role that requires dedication, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe and efficient rig-up and rig-down of snubbing units and associated equipment.
- Monitor and maintain precise pressure control during well intervention operations.
- Operate and maintain specialized snubbing equipment, including hydraulic systems and well control tools.
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings, equipment inspections, and hazard assessments.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, industry regulations, and client-specific procedures.
- Document job-related data, including equipment usage, maintenance logs, and safety reports.
- Collaborate effectively with the snubbing crew, wellsite supervisors, and client representatives.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance snubbing and pressure control expertise.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in oilfield services, heavy industrial equipment, or a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Proven commitment to safety and ability to follow complex safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a hazardous materials endorsement.
- Previous experience with well intervention, coiled tubing, or wireline operations.
- Relevant oilfield safety certifications (e.g., H2S, First Aid/CPR, Confined Space Entry).
