Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and ethically-minded Social Media Image Screener to join our Online Safety team in Sunderland. In this critical role, you will be responsible for reviewing user-generated image content across our platforms to ensure compliance with community standards and policies. Your work will directly contribute to fostering a safe and respectful online environment for our global community, protecting users from harmful or inappropriate content. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong judgment, and a commitment to upholding our platform’s integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and moderate user-submitted image content quickly and accurately against established community guidelines and policies.
- Identify and flag content that violates policies related to hate speech, graphic violence, harassment, misinformation, and other prohibited categories.
- Apply consistent judgment to ensure fairness and accuracy in moderation decisions.
- Escalate complex or ambiguous cases to senior reviewers or specialized teams as necessary.
- Contribute to ongoing training and policy discussions to improve content moderation accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion regarding all reviewed content and internal processes.
- Provide feedback on content trends and emerging policy challenges to help improve safety tools and guidelines.
