Job Description

Are you a seasoned songwriter with a passion for guiding emerging talent? Music Showcase is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Songwriting Coach to join our creative studio in New Port Richey. This hybrid role offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to inspire students in a one-on-one setting. You will be instrumental in helping students discover their unique voice, refine their craft, and develop compelling original music. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized one-on-one songwriting instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels.
  • Guide students through the entire songwriting process, from initial concept and lyrical development to melody and arrangement.
  • Offer constructive feedback on student compositions, focusing on structure, theme, musicality, and originality.
  • Tailor lesson plans and curriculum to meet individual student goals and learning styles.
  • Inspire creativity and encourage musical exploration within diverse genres.
  • Assist students in understanding music theory concepts relevant to songwriting.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and collaborative learning environment.
  • Stay current with contemporary songwriting trends and techniques.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise and a proven track record in songwriting.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of music theory, harmony, and composition.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Familiarity with various musical genres and songwriting approaches.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music, Composition, Creative Writing, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in music performance, recording, or publishing.
  • Proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or Pro Tools.
  • A portfolio of original songs showcasing diverse styles and lyrical depth.
