Job Description
Are you a highly organised and customer-focused individual who thrives in a peaceful, night-time environment? The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne, is seeking a diligent Spa Receptionist to manage our spa front desk during the quiet evening and night hours. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a premium guest experience in a tranquil setting, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service. You will be the welcoming face and efficient organiser for our spa guests, handling bookings, inquiries, and administrative tasks, all while maintaining the serene atmosphere our guests cherish.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and checking in spa guests during night hours with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Managing spa bookings, cancellations, and modifications efficiently using our booking system.
- Handling guest inquiries via phone and in person, providing accurate information about spa services, treatments, and facilities.
- Processing payments and managing the till accurately, ensuring all transactions are recorded.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the spa reception area.
- Performing administrative duties such as end-of-shift reports, inventory checks, and preparing for the next day's operations.
- Ensuring the security and privacy of guest information.
- Collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Responding to and resolving any guest issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and booking software.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly during night shifts.
- A calm and composed demeanor, even under pressure.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a spa, hotel, or similar hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with spa management software (e.g., Premier Software, Mindbody).
- Knowledge of spa treatments and wellness practices.
- First Aid certification.
