Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Assist special education teachers and therapists in planning and implementing music-based activities and lessons.
- Facilitate individual and group music sessions tailored to the specific needs and abilities of students.
- Prepare and organize musical instruments, materials, and equipment for sessions.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, encouraging participation and engagement in musical activities.
- Observe and report on student progress and behavior during music sessions to the lead therapist/teacher.
- Help maintain a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to integrate music therapy goals with broader educational and therapeutic objectives.
- Participate in ongoing paid training and professional development opportunities.
- Adapt music activities to suit various developmental levels and physical limitations.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper storage of all musical equipment after use.

Preferred Qualifications

- CPR and First Aid certification
