Job Description
Arup is seeking a skilled and dedicated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bracknell. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects using relevant software and codes.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and project stakeholders to integrate structural designs seamlessly.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and address design-related issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations and industry standards.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in structural design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, TEDDS).
- Strong understanding of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry design principles.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Familiarity with British Standards and Eurocodes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards it.
- Experience with BIM tools (e.g., Revit Structures).
- Project management experience.
- Experience in sustainable design practices.
