Job Description

Arup is seeking a skilled and dedicated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bracknell. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects using relevant software and codes.
  • Prepare detailed design calculations, reports, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, other engineers, and project stakeholders to integrate structural designs seamlessly.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and address design-related issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations and industry standards.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in structural design.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, TEDDS).
  • Strong understanding of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry design principles.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Familiarity with British Standards and Eurocodes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards it.
  • Experience with BIM tools (e.g., Revit Structures).
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in sustainable design practices.
