Job Description
Are you a responsible student with a passion for cars and a knack for exceptional service? The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City is seeking enthusiastic Student Valet Parkers to join our esteemed team for weekend shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a luxury hospitality environment, interact with high-profile guests, and safely park and retrieve a diverse range of luxury vehicles. You will play a crucial role in creating a memorable first impression for our guests, ensuring seamless arrivals and departures. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
- Safely and efficiently park and retrieve luxury and standard vehicles.
- Maintain an organized and accessible parking area.
- Assist guests with luggage and provide directions or local information as needed.
- Operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles with confidence.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and hotel safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional guest service at all times, anticipating needs.
- Perform light cleaning duties for valet area and hotel entrance.
- Communicate effectively with front desk, bell staff, and other hotel departments.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major infractions within the last 3 years).
- Ability to operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced luxury environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous valet parking or hospitality experience.
- Knowledge of luxury car brands and models.
- Availability to work various weekend shifts (Friday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays).
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
