Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented individual looking for an opportunity to contribute to a safe and compliant retail environment? Walmart is seeking a dedicated Teenager Compliance Aide with a primary focus on ID verification and accurate cash payouts. This entry-level role is crucial in upholding our commitment to legal and ethical operations, particularly concerning age-restricted sales and financial transactions. You will be on the front lines, ensuring our policies are consistently applied and that every customer interaction meets our high standards of compliance and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify customer identification for age-restricted products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco, lottery tickets) with diligence and accuracy.
- Process cash payouts, including but not limited to money orders, check cashing, and specific promotional redemptions, ensuring correct amounts and proper documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and state/federal regulations regarding compliance procedures.
- Report any suspicious activities or potential compliance breaches to store management immediately.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with customers, even during sensitive compliance checks.
- Educate customers politely on ID requirements when necessary.
- Assist with other operational tasks as assigned, supporting overall store efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and logs related to ID checks and cash payouts are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly and with integrity.
- Basic understanding of compliance principles and a willingness to learn specific regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled and working towards one).
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures meticulously.
