Job Description
Are you passionate about The Sims and have a keen eye for detail? As a Quality Assurance Tester for The Sims, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our game. You will be responsible for meticulously testing game features, identifying bugs, and providing clear, concise feedback to the development team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive testing on new and existing game features for The Sims.
- Identify, record, and track bugs and defects using our internal bug tracking system.
- Provide detailed and accurate bug reports with steps to reproduce, severity, and impact.
- Collaborate closely with development, design, and production teams to understand game mechanics and testing requirements.
- Execute test plans and test cases efficiently.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure the quality of game updates and patches.
- Act as an advocate for the player experience, ensuring the game is fun, stable, and enjoyable.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in quality assurance or a related field, preferably within gaming (minimum 1 year).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- A deep passion for video games, especially The Sims franchise.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional QA experience in the video game industry.
- Experience with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Familiarity with test automation tools and methodologies.
- Basic understanding of game development pipelines and software development lifecycles.
