Job Description

UPS is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Delivery Cyclists to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a Delivery Cyclist, you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages to homes and businesses within designated routes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial customers via bicycle within assigned routes.
- Plan and navigate delivery routes using provided tools and personal knowledge of the local area.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring their integrity from pick-up to delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and UPS safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues or delays.
- Perform routine checks and light maintenance on the delivery bicycle.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Proficient bicycle riding skills and comfort cycling in various weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry packages up to 35 lbs.
- Excellent navigation and route planning abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or courier role.
- Familiarity with Chattanooga streets and neighborhoods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
