Job Description

Listers Group is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Valeting Team Leader (Junior) to join our esteemed team in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with solid valeting experience looking to develop their leadership skills within a renowned automotive group. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of vehicle presentation, ensuring every car leaves our showroom immaculate, while guiding a small team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a small team of valeters, ensuring high standards of vehicle presentation.
- Oversee the thorough cleaning and preparation of new and used vehicles to showroom standards.
- Conduct meticulous quality checks on all completed work to ensure vehicles meet Listers Group's exacting standards.
- Manage valeting supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring availability and proper, safe use.
- Provide training and guidance to new team members in best practices, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with sales and service departments to prioritize vehicle preparation schedules.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient valeting bay.
- Identify and report any vehicle defects or damage discovered during the valeting process.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of professional vehicle valeting or detailing experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for automotive presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as a valued part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team guidance and collaboration.
- Full, clean UK driving license.
- Basic leadership aptitude or proven ability to guide and mentor peers.
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Valeting or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a senior valeter or informal supervisory role.
- Knowledge of advanced detailing techniques and specialized products.
- Customer service experience, preferably within an automotive retail environment.
