Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals for the role of Vegetable Harvester to join our daily hire team. This temporary, on-site position is crucial for ensuring the timely and efficient harvesting of various vegetables from our partner farms located across Lincolnshire. While our administrative and recruitment hub is based in Gosforth, successful candidates will be transported or commute directly to the farms in Lincolnshire for work. You will be working outdoors in various weather conditions, performing physically demanding tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for flexible work, gaining experience in the agricultural sector, and contributing to the UK’s food supply chain. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual harvesting of various vegetables (e.g., potatoes, carrots, broccoli) using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Operate basic farm machinery under supervision, if required and trained.
  • Sort, clean, and pack harvested produce according to quality standards.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and meet daily harvesting targets.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations on the farm.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and stamina for prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (sun, rain, cold).
  • Reliability and punctuality for daily shifts.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, 'can-do' attitude.

Preferred Qualifications
