Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Warehouse Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team in Omaha. This role is perfect for individuals eager to learn and operate a variety of powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Comprehensive multi-machine training will be provided to ensure you gain the necessary skills and certifications to excel. You will play a crucial role in the movement, storage, and retrieval of products, contributing directly to our customer fulfillment promise.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of powered industrial trucks (PITs) such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks, following all safety protocols.
- Load, unload, and move products and materials within the warehouse.
- Stack and store merchandise in designated areas, optimizing space and accessibility.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance, reporting any malfunctions.
- Utilize handheld scanners or computer systems for inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new equipment and procedures quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory scanning systems.
- Physical ability to lift up to 49 lbs, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all operational guidelines.
- Effective communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Prior experience operating powered industrial trucks (PITs) is a plus, but not required as training will be provided.
