Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Content Metadata Analyst to join our remote team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of metadata for our vast library of content. You will work with various teams to maintain and enhance our content catalog, directly impacting how our members discover and engage with our titles. This is a 100% remote position, and all necessary equipment will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, categorize, and enrich content metadata for new and existing titles, ensuring high quality and adherence to internal standards.
- Perform regular audits of metadata to identify and correct inconsistencies, errors, or gaps.
- Collaborate with content operations, product, and engineering teams to define and implement metadata requirements and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of metadata schema, tools, and workflows.
- Research and resolve metadata-related issues and discrepancies.
- Stay informed about industry trends in content metadata management and recommend innovative solutions.
- Provide support and guidance on metadata best practices to cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in metadata management, content operations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of metadata principles, taxonomies, and content management systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Systems, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale digital content libraries.
- Familiarity with various content types (films, TV series, documentaries, games).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation.
- Experience working in the entertainment or media industry.
